The Lightning Thief to embark on first ever UK Tour

The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical is set to embark on a UK tour later this year.

Based on Rick Riordan’s bestselling novel, the musical first premiered in New York in 2014 and has since toured the US, including a limited Broadway run in 2019. The story follows Percy Jackson, a teenager from New York City who discovers he is the son of the Greek god Poseidon.

After its London premiere last year, the show continues to play at the Other Palace until 31 August 2025. Directed and choreographed by Lizzi Gee (Groundhog Day), with a book by Joe Tracz (Be More Chill) and music and lyrics by Rob Rokicki (Monstersongs), the production promises an exciting experience.

The UK tour will begin at Theatre Royal Windsor on 15 August 2025, and will visit several cities including Newcastle, Milton Keynes, Liverpool, Brighton, Stoke-on-Trent, Coventry, Bradford, and Wimbledon, with more dates to be announced for 2026.

Producer Paul Taylor-Mills expressed his excitement: “We’re thrilled to bring Percy Jackson’s epic journey to more UK audiences following the success we’ve had in London. This show is full of energy, humour, and heart—whether you’re a long-time fan or new to the world of Camp Half-Blood, you’re in for an unforgettable adventure.”
