Full casting has been announced for the upcoming UK tour of Pride and Prejudice* (*sort of), written by Isobel McArthur after Jane Austen. McArthur will also direct the production. Pride and Prejudice* (*sort of) is a unique and audacious retelling of the classic Jane Austen story, featuring pop classics including Young Hearts Run Free, Will You Love Me Tomorrow and and You’re So Vain.
The cast for this tour includes: Georgia Firth, who returns to the show but this time in the role of Elizabeth Bennet; Eva Hope as Jane Bennet and Lady Catherine de Burgh; Roxanne Morgan as Mary Bennet, Lydia Bennet and Mr Gardiner; Julia Murray as Mrs Bennet and Fitzwilliam Darcy; and Phoebe Marshall as Charlotte Lucas, Charles Bingley and Miss Bingley. Completing the cast as covers as Emily Cruz, Grace Farrell and Anastasia Sims-Chin.
Joining Isobel McArthur in the creative team are: Ana Ines Jabares-Pita (Set and Costume Designer); Ryan Stafford (Lighting Designer); Emily Jane Boyle (Choreographer); Michael John McCarthy and Niamh Gaffney for Autograph (Sound Designers, with McCarthy also serving as Musical Supervisor); Jos Houben (Comedy Supervisor); Finlay Glen (Assistant Director); Claire Llewellyn of RC-Annie Ltd (Fight Director) and Marc Frankum (Casting Director).
The new tour opens at Chelmsford Theatre on 11th September 2026 and then visits Worthing Connaught, Theatr Clwyd in Mold, Buxton Opera House, Liverpool Playhouse, Belfast Grand Opera House, Salisbury Playhouse, Nottingham Playhouse, The Arts Theatre Cambridge, Richmond Theatre, Darlington Hippodrome and Malvern Festival Theatre.
In 2027, the tour continues to Poole Lighthouse, Yvonne Arnaud Theatre in Guildford, Bord Gais Energy Theatre in Dublin, Alhambra Theatre in Bradford, the Mayflower in Southampton, Oxford Playhouse, Hall for Cornwall in Truro, The Alexandra in Birmingham, Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff, Glasgow Pavilion, Blackpool Grand Theatre and The Capitol in Horsham.
