Burlesque the Musical, based on Steven Antin’s film which starred Christina Aguilera and Cher, is set to embark on its first major UK tour. The stage production features songs by Aguilera, Sia, Dianne Warren, Jess Folley, Todrick Hall and Antin and initial casting has now been announced.
Recent graduate Gracie O’Brien will make her stage debut in the leading role of Ali Rose. She will be joined by Coronation Street and Dancing on Ice star Faye Brookes as Tess. Ryan Carter, fresh his run as The Iceberg in Titanique, will take on the roles of Sean and Ms Loretta. Davide Fienauri plays Vince, Tyler Davies appears as Jackson and Vanessa Ela Young is Nikki. Further casting is still to be announced.
The full creative team has also been announced for the production. Steven Antin serves as writer and creative director, alongside Racky Plews as director. Robin Antin is the choreographer with co-choreographer Aaron Renfree. The Burlesque the Musical UK tour will open at Woking Theatre on 25th July 2026, before touring to Sunderland, Stoke-on-Trent, Cardiff, Glasgow, Bradford, Southend, Birmingham, Sheffield, Aylesbury, Liverpool and Blackpool, where it will have a Christmas run from 21st December until 2nd January.
In 2027, the tour will continue to Manchester, Northampton, Nottingham, Eastbourne, Edinburgh, Hull, York, Wolverhampton, Aberdeen, Oxford, Wimbledon and Canterbury.
