Despite a slow warm-up with a very quiet audience, George Zacharopoulos’s unique style of delivery takes you a little aback with its down-to-earth and refreshing feel. He begins by recounting his nerdy childhood and proves his long-term subscription to National Geographic by recounting many interesting animal facts that will be important later on in the show.
Zacharopoulos holds a conversational yet enthusiastic tone that is very easy to listen to and the subject matter of love is a heart-warming and light topic to think about. Throughout the show you are taken along a narrative that makes you think about the bigger things in life – what is really important. He delivers this with such a wicked sense of humour that you will ache from laughing so hard.
This show is not all about love, however, and features some difficult subject to broach such as abortion and mental health which Zacharopoulos touches on gracefully and with tact. It is difficult to see why he has not been selling out as his work and unique story-telling style is so delicious that you will not want him to stop talking.
Recommended to anyone who wants deep belly laughs, a heart-warming story, and a range of new animal facts.
