York Theatre Royal have announced the complete cast for this year’s pantomime Sleeping Beauty.
The production is led by CBeebies star Jennie Dale as Fairy Moonbeam, as well as the previously announced York Theatre Royal panto favourite Tommy Carmichael and Robin Simpson, York Theatre Royal’s regular dame, who returns for more hijinks as Nurse Nelly.
They are joined by West End performer Jocasta Almgill as Carabosse, who has previously been seen in A Chorus Line and Grease. Taking on the role of Aurora is Aoife Kenny, who has starred in the West End in Clueless and Frozen. Scott Goncalves, who hails from York and has previously been seen in Jersey Boys with Norweigan Cruise Line, plays Prince Michael.
Written by Paul Hendy and directed by Juliet Forster, York Theatre Royal’s festive extravaganza is co-produced with award-winning Evolution Productions, who previously produced All New Adventures of Peter Pan, Jack and the Beanstalk and last year’s pantomime Aladdin.
