Wildpark Entertainment and Fat Rascal Theatre in Association with Underbelly bring you the production of Unfortunate: The Untold Story of Ursula The Sea Witch. This cleaver written story follows the villain of Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Ursula. The musical channels body positivity and brings satire to Disney and their stereotyping.

A powerhouse cast that showcase phenomenal vocals, ensure the production is full of satire and innuendos that satirise “Disney Magic” with perfect precision. The set and costumes are perfect in helping bring out the ‘Disneyesque’ stylings of the show.

George Whitty as King Triton slays the show with stunning vocals, while Miracle Chance’s Essex queen Ariel is inspired – delivering the role with great humour bring audible gasps as she provides her rendition of ‘Up There With the Dicks’. The cast inhabit there characters with panache, cheek and endless amounts of charm – it’s just let down by an awful sound mix, meaning at times gags and elements (especially faster parts) of the show were missed.

The Untold Story of Ursula The Sea Witch, ensures laughter rings out from every corner of the auditorium, this may not be a family-friendly show – but it’s a brilliant adult retelling of the Little Mermaid tale and one that every fringe going member should have on their “Must See” lists.
