Singin’ in the Rain returns to stages across the UK and Ireland in 2027, following a Christmas season at Sheffield’s Crucible Theatre. Full casting, alongside the creative team, has now been announced,
Natalie Anderson will play the role of Lina Lamont at the Crucible and will then share the role of Karen Hauer on tour. Grant Almirall is Don Lockwood, Nicole-Lily Baisden is Kathy Seldon, Matthew Maddison is Cosmo Brown and Wendi Peters is Dora Bailey. Peters is scheduled to appear until 3 July 2027.
The cast also includes Charlie Bishop, Grace Chan, Ross Chisari, Stan Doughty, Barry Drummond, William Elijah-Lewis, Maria Garrett, Alyn Hawke (who will serve as the alternate for Don Lockwood), Megan Jade-Johnson, Ellis Linford-Pill, Jeremy Lloyd, Brontë Macmillan, Chloe Malek, Greta McKinnon, Melissa Mese, Ben Middleton, Elly Shaw (who plays Zelda Zanders), Jack Skelton and Catrin Thomas.
Singin’ in the Rain is produced by Sheffield Theatres, Chichester Festival Theatre and Stage Entertainment. It is directed by Jonathan Church with choreography by Andrew Wright and additional choreography by Jayne Elster. The creative team also includes: Set and Costume Designer Simon Higlett; Lighting Designer Tim Mitchell; Sound Designer Gareth Owen; Video Designer Ian Galloway; Musical Supervisor Robert Scott; Orchestrator Larry Blank; Associate Director Brendan Cull; Associate Choreographer Kelly Ewins; Associate Costume Designer Karen Large; Original Fight Director Malcolm Ransom; and Casting Director Olivia Laydon for Jill Green Casting. It features a screenplay by Betty Comden and Adolph Green, with songs by Nacio Herb Brown and Arthur Freed.
Singin’ in the Rain opens at Sheffield’s Crucible Theatre on 26th November 2026 and runs until 16th January 2027, before touring to Bromley, Southend, Belfast, Dublin, Sunderland, Canterbury, Dartford, Milton Keynes, Leeds, Woking, Liverpool, Glasgow, High Wycombe, Edinburgh, Birmingham and Southampton. It will have a summer season at Sadler’s Wells in London from 2nd June to 3rd July 2027, before continuing on tour to Norwich, Salford Quays, Eastbourne, Nottingham and Cardiff.
