The cast has been announced for the upcoming UK tour of Paranormal Activity. Melting Pot’s production was originally developed at Leeds Playhouse in 2024 and has gone on to enjoy a smash hit West End run and North American tour.
The show is based on the films of the same name, originally written and directed by Oren Peli and brought to the screen by Blumhouse and Solana Films. The stage production is written by Levi Holloway and directed by Felix Barrett. It reimagines the modern ghost story with an unsettling intimacy only theatre can provide. It immerses audiences in an atmosphere of creeping dread, unseen forces and psychological tension.
The set and costumes for the show are designed by Fly Davis, with illusions by Chris Fisher, Anna Watson as lighting designer, Gareth Fry as sound designer, video design by Luke Halls and casting direction by Ginny Schiller CDG.
EastEnders star James Bye will play James, fresh from his stint in 2:22 A Ghost Story. He is joined by Hannah Sinclair Robinson as Lou, Jo Castleton as Etheline Cotgrave and Caroline Faber as Carolanne.
The tour opens at Richmond Theatre on 7th September 2026, before touring to Milton Keynes Theatre, Glasgow Theatre Royal, Grand Opera House York, Woking Theatre, Cheltenham Everyman, Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury, Birmingham Alexandra, Norwich Theatre Royal, The Lowry in Salford Quays, Brighton Theatre Royal and Bath Theatre Royal.
It will return to Leeds Playhouse for a Christmas season from 8th to 24th December, before continuing on to the Mayflower in Southampton, Aylesbury Waterside Theatre, Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff, Belfast Grand Opera House, Edinburgh King’s Theatre, Wolverhampton Grand Theatre, Sheffield Lyceum Theatre, Nottingham Theatre Royal, His Majesty’s Theatre in Aberdeen, Theatre Severn in Shrewsbury, The Arts Theatre Cambridge, Plymouth Theatre Royal, Bradford Alhambra Theatre, Newcastle Theatre Royal, Hull New Theatre, Liverpool Empire, Eden Court in Inverness, Royal & Derngate in Northampton, Bord Gais Energy Theatre in Dublin, Cork Everyman and Leicester Curve.
