From the winners of 5 consecutive Certificates of Excellence / Travellers’ Choice Awards from Trip Advisor, comes Agent November’s outdoor mystery experience with a new creative collection of puzzles to solve.
Agent November creates enigma experiences for participants to enjoy around a central spy theme. Major X Ploe-Shun is one of these mysteries which takes place outside. Having signed the unofficial secrets act, there is little this reviewer can reveal about the assignment itself, or indeed any of the components needed to solve it. It can be reported however that equipped with hats, walkie-talkies and agent code names, we are called upon to exhibit our skills of searching, piecing items together, decoding, deciphering and identification.
This is a fun activity for anyone who finds escape rooms enjoyable. There are lots of locks. The mystery is suitably challenging and keeps a group occupied throughout. On this occasion the experience is fully booked so there are rather a lot of us. A few too many, to gather easily around the final puzzles. Being made up of three different parties of people, does mean communication is not as sharp as when you are all familiar with one another but it does allow for the chance to meet fellow escape room enthusiasts and swap notes about the best places to solve more puzzles.
Agent November has a reputation for offering engaging experiences and the mystery of Major X Ploe Shun does not disappoint. Our contact in the field, assists when necessary to help ensure all the time isn’t wasted on a red herring. Having walkie-talkies to use outside is an exciting touch but not all of them seem to work consistently. If this was to be resolved, and everyone able to have their own walkie-talkie, this could increase the levels of engagement and somewhat improve communication within a large group.
This experience involves some clever engineering which is fascinating in itself. At the heart of the mystery is an intriguing story which spurs participants on to complete the mission. If you enjoy solving puzzles and delight in a good mystery, this assignment is well worth accepting.
