Full casting has been announced for the new stage adaptation of the Victoria Wood sitcom dinnerladies. Commissioned by the Victoria Wood Estate, in association with Phil McIntyre Live and Sustainable Entertainment, the show will embark on a major UK tour in 2027.
As previously announced, Les Dennis stars as maintenance man Stan. He is joined by Coronation Street star Sue Cleaver as Jean and Eastenders favourite Karen Henthorn as Dolly. Amy Drake will play Bren, the iconic role that Victoria Wood embodied on screen.
Also in the show are: Gemma Dobson as Twinkle; Faye Weerasinghe as Anita; Jimmy Fairhurst as Tony; Josie Brightwell as Petula; Rachel Marwood as Jane; and Rachel Pickup as Philippa.
Completing the ensemble are Sarah Dearlove, Alex Frost, Matthew Gordon, Angela Heenan and Tyne Pearson.
The stage adaptation of dinnerladies has been written by Beth and Emma Kilcoyne. The production will be directed by Sean Foley.
dinnerladies opens at the Churchill Theatre in Bromley on 22nd January 2027. It will then tour to Manchester Opera House, Venue Cymru in Llandudno, Theatre Royal Bath, Grand Opera House York, Birmingham Hippodrome, Stockton Globe, Milton Keynes Theatre, Congress Theatre in Eastbourne, Blackpool Opera House, New Theatre in Cardiff, New Theatre in Hull, Theatre Royal Nottingham, New Wimbledon Theatre, Regent Theatre in Ipswich, Princess Theatre in Torquay, Hall for Cornwall in Truro, Bournemouth Pavilion, Royal & Derngate in Northampton, Regent Theatre in Stoke, G Live in Guildford, Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury, Leeds Grand Theatre, Wolverhampton Grand Theatre, Liverpool Empire, Hexagon Theatre in Reading, Sheffield City Hall and Cliffs Pavilion in Southend.
