It is time to go the distance one last time as the West End production of Disney’s Hercules has announced a final booking extension, confirming it will conclude its run at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane on 5 September 2026. Based on the beloved 1997 animated film—which won Best Animation Feature at the Los Angeles Film Critics Association Awards and received an Academy Award nomination for “Go the Distance”—this stage adaptation opened last summer to a mixed critical response.
The production features music by Alan Menken, lyrics by David Zippel, and a new book by Robert Horn and Kwame Kwei-Armah, with direction and choreography by Casey Nicholaw and co-choreography by Tanisha Scott.
Fans have a final opportunity to see the stellar cast led by Luke Brady in the title role, alongside Mae Ann Jorolan as Meg, Trevor Dion Nicholas as Phil, and Stephen Carlile as Hades. The company also features the Muses—Leslie Beehann (Calliope), Candace Furbert (Thalia), Sharlene Hector (Clio), Brianna Ogunbawo (Melpomene), and Robyn Rose-Li (Terpsichore)—supported by Standby Muses Kamilla Fernandes and Kimmy Edwards, with Craig Gallivan and Lee Zarrett appearing as Bob and Charles.
