Ware It’s At Productions – How Eva Von Schnippisch Won WWII

Back by popular demand for 2017, our Brighton Bites series offer short, witty and slightly tongue-in-cheek insights into shows performing at England’s largest arts festival. Hopefully, they will whet your appetite to try something new at this year’s Brighton Fringe.

Here, Stephanie Waretells us about her show,How Eva Von Schnippisch Won WWII, which will be performing atThe Marlborough Theatre.

How would you describe your show in one sentence?
An “Unmissable, gut bustingly funny, daring and witty” action-packed, spy-thriller, one-woman musical extravaganza!

Why Brighton Fringe for this show?
Brighton ist ein mecca fur das edgy, gritty cabaret ja? So zis ist ein perfect place fur mich und mein story to be told. Also in Brighton everyvon is accepted as who zey are, ja?…so I feel zuper relaxed hier. Ich liebe Brighton!!

How have you been preparing for Brighton Fringe?
I’ve been touring mein show all over ze country in preparation – London, Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester, East Croydon….plus I’m keeping up mein usual diet of Weissbier, Frankfurters und ein daily sauna to keep mein body in das good shape, ja?

What do you think sets your show apart from all the other festival offerings?
Does any uzzer show have high octane action, explosives, impossible missions, und death-defying escapes? Perhaps…BUT do zey expose a 72-year-old WWII lie? I debunk ze bunker story once und für all! Ze truth is coming mein liebschens!!!!

What’s the show that you don’t want to miss at this year’s Brighton Fringe (apart from your own)?
Joe Black – Meet Me At The Eldorado, und Alfie Ordinary – Help! I Think I Might Be Fabulous. Both amazing performers, I love zem xx

What’s the best bit of advice you’ve ever been given for performing at a Fringe Festival?
“Raid ein bank before, during or after ein fringe….or face debt in ze face, While simultaneously reminding yourself every day zat you are doing zis for LOVE not MONEY!!”

If your show was a flavour of ice cream being sold on Brighton Pier, what would it be?
Coco Chanel with gunshot residue
