What better way to celebrate a day of nuptial bliss than a wedding reception hosted right in the heart of the Edinburgh Fringe? Will and Kate think their big day is over, but Kate’s parents have other plans.
Interactive Theatre International cleverly bring those moments which are so ‘normal’ in family weddings, and make them hilariously funny and completely endearing. Akin to the Royle Family, this piece goes a step further – not only bringing a host of characters closely studied, in which every audience member can see similarities in their familial circle, but also including that audience, and giving them chance to be an active part of the experience.
The four-strong cast multi-role to the max, providing colour and moments of pure joy in between and during a lovely three-course dinner. From the doting parents personally interacting with every audience member to the little wedding touches expected these days:photobooths and love doves, incorporating explosive outbursts and revelations, this is the epitome of modern wedding satire, and finishing with a disco and cake – what more could you ask for?
