NEWS: The Pajama Game Heads To Shaftesbury Theatre

The Pajama Game - Chichester Festival TheatreFollowing a critically acclaimed, sold out run, producers have today announced that Chichester Festival Theatre’s production of The Pajama Game will transfer to the Shaftesbury Theatre in London’s West End on 1 May, playing until 13 September 2014.

Joanna Riding will reprise her rôle for the transfer and will be joined by nd Michael Xavier who has replaced original cast member Hadley Fraser. Further casting is still to be announced.

Director Richard Eyre said “The Pajama Game was the first musical I ever heard – on an album belonging to my sister when I was 14. I had never seen it until I directed it at Chichester. It was a long wait to discover what an entrancing, joyful, tuneful and sharp show it is.”

The Chichester Festival Theatre production of The Pajama Game is produced in the West End by Joseph Smith and John Brant, Old Vic Productions, Gavin Kalin, Neil Franklin and Stephen McGill.

Director Richard Eyre will be reunited with choreographer Stephen Mear and Musical Director Gareth Valentine with design by Tim Hatley, lighting design by Howard Harrison and sound design by Paul Groothius.
