NEWS: Rock Of Ages Announces UK Tour

Producers have today announced detail of the first UK Tour of West End and Broadway hit Rock Of Ages The Musical.

Following a three-year run in London’s West End Rock of Ages will open at The Palace Theatre, Manchester on 5th May 2014 before embarking on a UK tour.

Following Manchester the show will tour to Birmingham, Edinburgh, Torquay, Nottingham, Bromley, Bradford, Aylesbury, Bristol, Stoke, Liverpool, Sunderland, Glasgow, Brighton, Milton Keynes, Woking, York, Southampton, Dublin, Belfast, Hull, Cardiff, Oxford, Sheffield, Southend and Wimbledon.

Leading the company will be Ben Richards who will star as rock god Stacee Jaxx. Best known for playing Bruno Milligan in Footballers Wives, Richards returns to the stage after an extensive career in London’s West End and around the UK including Guys and Dolls, Saturday Night Fever and The Full Monty.

Former Hear’Say member Noel Sullivan joins Richards as Drew Boley. Currently playing Tick in the UK and Ireland tour of Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Sullivan has previously appeared in We Will Rock You and Grease.

Futher casting will be announced shortly. Rock of Ages features a soundtrack of 80s rock classics including We Built This City, The Final Countdown and Don’t Stop Believin.

Rock of Ages The Musical is written by Chris D’Arienzo, directed by Kristin Hanggi and choreographed by Kelly Devine. The UK Associate Director &Choreographer for this tour is Leigh Constantine, and the UK Musical Supervisor is Elliott Ware.
