The Barbican has today announced details of the full cast for Antigone, the much anticipated production that plays at the venue in March 2015.
The production will be directed by the internationally renowned Belgian theatre directorIvo van Hove, with a new translation by TS Eliot Prize-winning poetAnne Carson.
The full cast announced today is Juliette Binoche,Obi Abili,Kirsty Bushell,Samuel Edward-Cook,Finbar Lynch,Patrick O’KaneandKathryn Pogson.
The Barbican co-production receives its world première at the Grand Théâtre de Luxembourg in February 2015 followed by the UK première at the Barbican in March 2015.
Antigone will then embarks on an international tour including Antwerp, Amsterdam, Paris, Recklinghausen, the 2015 Edinburgh International Festival and New York.
