In what is already one of the most anticipated theatre productions of next year, further details of Benedict Cumberbatch’s starring rôle in Hamlet have been released by the Barbican Centre.
Cumberbatch will make his Barbican stage debut in the Shakespearian classic, directed by Lyndsey Turner.
Booking will open for Barbican Red Members this Friday (1 August) and for Barbican Orange Members on Monday 4 August. Tickets will go on sale to the General public on Monday 11 August.
Tickets will be priced between £30 and £62.50 although 100 seats at £10, located throughout the auditorium, will be released much nearer the time. Premium seating will also be available.
Anticipating that many first time theatre goers may be drawn to the production, the Barbican has produced a guide including reminders on theatre etiquette and explanations on the various seating options.
