In his latest show political sniper, Matt Forde sets his sights on this year’s hot button word, Brexit. With so much going on and so many characters, this show buzzes along like a show reel of the worst moments in politics.
Forde starts out with a running attack on the UK’s leading politicians using his opening statement and some self-selected words of wisdom to slice through the political ranks. At this point, Forde dials in on the current leaders of the major parties with some outstanding physical impressions. Forde uses these voices to guides the audience through the ridiculous campaigns run by both sides of the Brexit battle.
A particular highlight is when Forde delves into the dark and dirty back benches and his own thought on who should lead the opposition and his wonderful impressions of past leaders. This show works well for those who know their politics and just as good for those who don’t.
Forde blends his own political views with his sharp and stylish wit. His intelligent barbs cut through the political spectrum and leaves no politician unscathed. Undoubtedly, one of the best shows at the Fringe this year.
