It’s time for our annual series of Fringe preview Q & A’s. Here we talk about new show Tom and Bunny Save the World.
In one sentence tell us about your show.
A black comedy with folk music following a group of Brits travelling from London to Yorkshire in the zombie apocalypse.
What made you decide to bring a show this year?
Edinburgh is the best place to try out new work and to develop it over the month. It was the best experience for our last show Buzz and we can’t wait to see what the audiences think of our new one.
Any advice you’ve heard or can give to anyone coming to the Fringe for the first time?
Stock up at Napier’s chemist on the first week, make sure you get enough sleep, have a flyering schedule and stick to it. It’s much easier to have fun and look after yourself when you give yourself a bit of routine. Edinburgh can be hard, especially if like us you’re in multiple shows. Be kind to yourself and others, eat well and get yourself up Arthur’s seat on your day off.
What makes your show stand out from all the others on offer? (Don’t say that it’s because you’re in it!)
We’re a fast-paced, political, feminist, zombie comedy with an epic live folk soundtrack. Shaun of the Dead meets Once. Guns, gore and guitars.
What show, other than your own, do you not want to miss?
We can’t wait to see Hot Brown Honey again. We totally fan-girled them last year and went twice. Powerful, talented, hilarious ladies. You must go.
