It’s that time of year when we launch our annual series of Fringe preview Q & A’s. Milly Thomas talks about her show Brutal Cessation.
In one sentence tell us about your show.
A man and a woman in a stale relationship that’s about to blow…
What made you decide to bring a show this year?
This show is a conversation I want to have now while we’re comfortable discussing gender but are ready to look a little deeper than the surface questions.
Any advice you’ve heard or can give to anyone coming to the Fringe for the first time?
“Have fun and if you can’t be good be naughty.” Advice from my Nanna before my first fringe and it’s served me since 2007. Also Berocca.
What makes your show stand out from all of the others on offer? (Don’t say that it’s because you’re in it!)
I’m not in this show but we’ve got two incredible actors who both play both roles during the show, swapping during the performance.
What show, other than your own, do you not want to miss?
So so many. Elsa by Isobel Rogers, Quarter Life Crisis by Yolanda Mercy, Service by Lauren Mooney. (I’m also performing in Dust at Underbelly if I’m your cup of tea. Come and say hi.)
Finally, the boring but essential bit…
