FIVE FAST FRINGE QUESTIONS with Massimiliano Rossetti of The Hogwallops

With over 3000 shows at the world’s biggest arts festival, here at The ReviewsHub,we want to make the job of choosing your Edinburgh Festival Fringe shows that little bit easier. So here’s Massimiliano Rossetti of The Hogwallops answering our annual Five Fast Fringe Questions.

In one sentence tell us about your show.

Extraordinary circus skills blend seamlessly with the hilarious tale of a family of misfits inspired by Roald Dahl’s The Twits (in his 100th anniversary year) and Ettore Scola’s film Bruti, Sporchi e Cattivi (Ugly, Dirty and Bad).

What made you decide to bring a show this year?

Underbelly’s Circus Hub invited us back following the success of the show last year. We readily agreed because the Fringe is such an amazing experience (last year was our first) and we loved the venue.

Any advice you’ve heard or can give to anyone coming to the Fringe for the first time?

Be ready for a very tiring, mad yet rewarding month. Work out what you want to get out of the Fringe and concentrate on that. Stay calm and enjoy the month.

What makes your show stand out from all of the others on offer? (Don’t say that it’s because you’re in it!)

It is a family show featuring unique circus skills that no other UK company performs. Only Lost in Translation perform on the Korean cradle and two of our cast are Guinness World Record holders in this spectacular discipline.

What show, other than your own, do you not want to miss?

All the shows at the circus hub will be awesome and we hope to see every single one.

Finally, the boring but essential bit…

Name of the show: The Hogwallops

Venue: The Beauty at the Underbelly Circus Hub

Dates: 4 – 22 August 2016
