Next up in our annual series of Fringe preview Q & A’s it’s the turn of Marcus Monroe.

In one sentence tell us about your show.

It’s a true story about my quest to become your favourite juggler and I’m not giving up on my dreams and nothing can stop me.

What made you decide to bring a show this year?

It’s the best place in the world to show off new pieces.  Especially shows that are sort of out of the box, weird, ridiculous, and my show is all of that.

Any advice you’ve heard or can give to anyone coming to the Fringe for the first time?

The best advice I’ve heard is to just pace yourself.  Show first, party second, sleep third.  I like that.

What makes your show stand out from all the others on offer? (Don’t say that it’s because you’re in it!)

It’s a one-man show meets a juggling show meets a comedy show. It’s based on my real life and every night the show changes. I take fairly huge risks that put my reputation and my physical body on the line. So please come.

What show, other than your own, do you not want to miss?

Sam Simmons, Colt Cabana, Reformed Whores. Also, Assembly just has a really killer line up this year and I’m thrilled to be a part of it. Come hang out with me!

Finally, the boring but essential bit…

Name of the show:  The Rise and Fall of Marcus Monroe

Venue: Assembly George Square Gardens – Piccolo

Dates: 3 August – 27 August 2017

Time: 15:00
