With over 3000 shows at the world’s biggest arts festival, here at The ReviewsHub,we want to make the job of choosing your Edinburgh Festival Fringe shows that little bit easier. So here’sLucie Pohl answering our annual Five Fast Fringe Questions on her show Apohlcalypse Now!
In one sentence tell us about your show.
Apohlcalypse Now! is a comedy of terrors, about bad decisions, bad language, a wedding, a breakup, dead rats and wake up calls from Stephen Baldwin.
What made you decide to bring a show this year?
I decided to bring a show to Edinburgh this year because I am a masochist and I hate thesunshine in the summer. No, in reality, I had an idea for a show and I knew if I didn’t have Edinburgh I might never actually write it.
Any advice you’ve heard or can give to anyone coming to the Fringe for the first time?
The advice I would give people coming to the Fringe for the first time is: bring a hoodie, make sure you flyer every day, see lots of shows, be nice and eat baked potatoes at Take it Away Spud in Stockbridge.
What makes your show stand out from all of the others on offer? (Don’t say that it’s because you’re in it!)
My show stands out because it is the only show at the Fringe that will have an exorcism, a talking goldfish, the scary lady from the bathtub in The Shining and some dead rats in it.
What show, other than your own, do you not want to miss?
The Club by Ruaraidh Murray, Angel by Henry Naylor, Michelle Wolf, Phil Nichol’s new show, Sam Simmon’s new show, Desiree Burch’s new show.
Finally, the boring but essential bit…
