Next up in our annual series of Fringe preview Q & A’s it’s the turn of Harriet Braine.

In one sentence tell us about your show.

A musical journey through the art world in 15 short essays.

What made you decide to bring a show this year?

It’s the ‘done thing’ after a relatively prosperous year of new act competitions. Also I have VERY important things to say about Hokusai’s The Great Wave off Kanagawa.

Any advice you’ve heard or can give to anyone coming to the Fringe for the first time?

Solo tienes un tiro, no te pierdas, tienes oportunidad de soplar. (You only have one shot, do not miss, you have the opportunity to blow).

What makes your show stand out from all of the others on offer? (Don’t say that it’s because you’re in it!)

Stylist magazine described my oeuvre as ‘fairly niche’. Trust them.

What show, other than your own, do you not want to miss?

This is a very difficult question, there are so many shows! I reckon I’ll really enjoy Great British Mysteries by The Cloak and Dagger Club. I’m really excited about seeing that.

Finally, the boring but essential bit…
