FIVE FAST FRINGE QUESTIONS with…George Chilcott, director of Swansong

With over 3000 shows at the world’s biggest arts festival, here at The ReviewsHub,we want to make the job of choosing your Edinburgh Festival Fringe shows that little bit easier. So here’sGeorge Chilcott, director of Swansong answering our annual Five Fast Fringe Questions.

In one sentence tell us about your show.

Four people survive the Great Flood of 2017 on a swan pedalo.

What made you decide to bring a show this year?

We love Edinburgh. Edinburgh is a great litmus test for your work because word of mouth is king and, unless people like your show, they won’t come. You know pretty quickly whether or not your show is any good – and that’s what makes it exciting and terrifying in equal measure.

Any advice you’ve heard or can give to anyone coming to the Fringe for the first time?

Go to Mother India. Best curry in the UK.

What makes your show stand out from all of the others on offer? (Don’t say that it’s because you’re in it!)

It’s the only show that features a swan pedalo. Probably.

What show, other than your own, do you not want to miss?

GoodBear and Stack are the two other DugOut shows and they’ll be a lot of fun. Otherwise, David Elms is hilarious and we can’t wait to see what he’s up to this year.

Finally, the boring but essential bit…

Name of the show: Swansong

Venue: Pleasance Courtyard (Above)

Dates: 3 – 29August 2016 (not 16)
