FIVE FAST FRINGE QUESTIONS with…Eric Lampaert from Alien of Extraordinary Ability

With over 3000 shows at the world’s biggest arts festival, here at The ReviewsHub,we want to make the job of choosing your Edinburgh Festival Fringe shows that little bit easier. So here’s Eric Lampaert from Alien of Extraordinary Ability answering our annual Five Fast Fringe Questions.

In one sentence tell us about your show.

It’s an exploration into alien hood; foreign, weird and extra-terrestrial. This show is out of this world. That was two sentences. And now three…

What made you decide to bring a show this year?

I didn’t go to Edinburgh last year, which meant I got a bit more time to work on a show I’m really proud of and enjoy performing. Plus Edinburgh festival is fun. Hang out with your comedian friends, drink, cry, drink, contemplate your own existence… lots of awesome stuff.

Any advice you’ve heard or can give to anyone coming to the Fringe for the first time?

This is the most important moment of your life. If you fuck this up, then God help you.

What makes your show stand out from all of the others on offer? (Don’t say that it’s because you’re in it!)

It’s not just an hour of stand up. There are lots of other surprises installed to make it one hell of a show. Plus, I have an interesting angle; I am legally French, English, and American. I am the allies.

What show, other than your own, do you not want to miss?

Comedians Cinema Club at15:40at Just The Tonic’s The Tron… OK, I’m biased. It’s another show I am doing where comics get together and we improvise movies. It’s really silly and awesome audience participation who get to be extras, props, directors etc. Come check that out.

Finally, the boring but essential bit…
