With over 3000 shows at the world’s biggest arts festival, here at The ReviewsHub,we want to make the job of choosing your Edinburgh Festival Fringe shows that little bit easier. So here’s Ed MacArthur from Stack answering our annual Five Fast Fringe Questions.
In one sentence tell us about your show.
Stack is a very silly musical comedy play about Stackard Banks, a madcapexplorerwho attempts to make a documentary about a lost Amazonian tribe.
What made you decide to bring a show this year?
It’ll be DugOut’s sixth year at the Fringe, and as terrifying and stressful asitcan be, it’s incredibly addictive and we base our year around it. Stack was written specifically for the Fringe. It’s an eccentricshow that will hopefullysuitthe heady atmosphere of the festival.
Any advice you’ve heard or can give to anyone coming to the Fringe for the first time?
Expect the unexpected.Respect the police.
What makes your show stand out from all of the others on offer? (Don’t say that it’s because you’re in it!)
It’s a highly ridiculous blend of character comedy and music, with an original score sung live. It also features the hilariousAnnie McGrath from Twins. But there are only 6000 shows this year, so we’re not concerned about standing out.
What show, other than your own, do you not want to miss?
Twins is genuinely my favourite show in the world. That and GoodBear, who are on after me every night. They’re all hilarious people, and far more socially capable than they look.
Finally, the boring but essential bit…
