With over 3000 shows at the world’s biggest arts festival, here at The ReviewsHub,we want to make the job of choosing your Edinburgh Festival Fringe shows that little bit easier. So here’s Annabel Carberry fromThe Hogwallops answering our annual Five Fast Fringe Questions.
In one sentence tell us about your show.
A day in the life of a madcap, quirky family whose domestic adventures involve extreme virtuosic physical skills, and of course lots of bananas.
What made you decide to bring a show this year?
We loved the intensity, the chaos of the Fringe and the long run of shows, and we got great audiences last year and wanted to build on it and make this year even better.
Any advice you’ve heard or can give to anyone coming to the Fringe for the first time?
Be prepared for madness.
What makes your show stand out from all of the others on offer? (Don’t say that it’s because you’re in it!)
It’s a great combination of exciting circus skills, quirky characters, lots of humour and drama with a narrative tale too. We hope there is something in the Hogwallops’ family situation and relationships that everyone of all ages can relate to. It’s very human and above all lots of fun.
What show, other than your own, do you not want to miss?
I look forward to being surprised. There’s no shortage of great and interesting shows at the Fringe and I would love to see something I am not expecting, so I want the unmissable show to be one I haven’t heard of yet.
Finally, the boring but essential bit…
