FIVE FAST FRINGE QUESTIONS with…Anna Morris

With over 3000 shows at the world’s biggest arts festival, here at The ReviewsHub,we want to make the job of choosing your Edinburgh Festival Fringe shows that little bit easier. So here’s Anna Morris answering our annual Five Fast Fringe Questions.

In one sentence tell us about your show.

Britain’s Biggest Bridezilla is having 22 wedding rehearsals during the Fringe in the lead up to her epic Edinburgh castle wedding and YOU are invited to fill-in as the wedding guests and become her wedding planners.

What made you decide to bring a show this year?

I did this show last year, kept it low key and was shocked that it was such a huge success. We had to turn people away each day because we couldn’t fit them all in. So a lot of people didn’t get to see it. Therefore I decided to bring it back to a bigger room (The Ballroom) and make it better, and braver.

Any advice you’ve heard or can give to anyone coming to the Fringe for the first time?

Go to a mixture of free and paid shows, get advice on what to see from audience reviews, box office staff, other audience members. Don’t just stick to the big four venues – there are loads of other quirky places and Free Fringe venues offering some of the best stuff on the fringe.

What makes your show stand out from all of the others on offer? (Don’t say that it’s because you’re in it!)

It’s a different show every single day and unique to every audience. It’s semi-improvised because the audience is set tasks to help choose the content. They can write the groom’s speech, shout objections, choose the wedding music on Spotify (without me seeing!), play some of the key roles… ANYTHING can and will happen – often audiences come back with friends! The last 20 minutes is utter chaos, with a surprising twist to boot…

What show, other than your own, do you not want to miss?

Puddles Pity Party – one of the most memorable shows I saw last year. I laughed, I cried, I felt full of joy when I left and I can’t explain why. Go and see it!

Finally, the boring but essential bit…
