With over 3000 shows at the world’s biggest arts festival, here at The ReviewsHub,we want to make the job of choosing your Edinburgh Festival Fringe shows that little bit easier. So here’s Alan Harris for Love, Lies &Taxidermyanswering our annual Five Fast Fringe Questions.
In one sentence tell us about your show.
An unconventional love story set in Merthyr Tydfil.
What made you decide to bring a show this year?
I didn’t, I wrote it and sent it to Paines Plough. Luckily they loved it and decided to bring it to Edinburgh along with the two other shows in rep, I Got Superpowers For My Birthday by Katie Douglas and Luke Norris’s Growth.
Any advice you’ve heard or can give to anyone coming to the Fringe for the first time?
Leave a little time in your schedule for truly random shows, also, check out Forest Fringe.
What makes your show stand out from all of the others on offer? (Don’t say that it’s because you’re in it!)
Because I’m not in it! And it features three of my favourite actors: Remy Beasley, Richard Corgan, and Andy Rush.
What show, other than your own, do you not want to miss?
Tricky with so many great shows on offer. If I had to pick one it might be Anything That Gives Off Light and also I’ve never seen Action Hero so would like to catch their show. Also looking forward to Welsh company Gagglebabble’s Wonderman. Sorry, I couldn’t pick just one.
Finally, the boring but essential bit…
