With over 3000 shows at the world’s biggest arts festival, here at The ReviewsHub,we want to make the job of choosing your Edinburgh Festival Fringe shows that little bit easier. So here’s Agne, Paulius, and Mantas from Contemporaryanswering our annual Five Fast Fringe Questions.
In one sentence tell us about your show.
We really wanted to create a parody of contemporary dance that is ironic, fun and would make us and the viewer smile, we hope we have.
What made you decide to bring a show this year?
We performed at The Fringe last year, but just for a few days and had a wonderful time. In the meantime Contemporary? has really taken off in Lithuania and Europe so we wanted to return so that more people in Scotland could see our show.
Any advice you’ve heard or can give to anyone coming to the Fringe for the first time?
Be open to new things, work hard and be sincere in what you do.
What makes your show stand out from all of the others on offer? (Don’t say that it’s because you’re in it!)
The show wins over audiences with its honesty, professionalism and our skilful performances. We allow ourselves plenty of space for improvisation, which is unusual in dance and that makes it lively and organic.
What show, other than your own, do you not want to miss?
We’re really looking forward to a dance show called Happy Hour by Cie Wooshing Machine.
Finally, the boring but essential bit…
