FIFTY-WORD FRINGE PITCH: Tori Scott

With time being precious during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe we challenged this year’s acts to deliver a 50-word elevator pitch for their show. This time it’s the turn of Tori Scott.

#Thirsty is the perfect martini. Mainly vodka with a splash of slurred stories of single life and self-deprecation, a dash of bad decisions while trying to survive in New York City, then shaken with live music ranging from Edith Piaf to Prince. Served a little dirty.

What other show shouldn’t we miss?

So many shows on my list to see from Kate Berlant to Janeane Garofalo, but my friend Tom Brace is doing his magic show Brace Yourself at the Pleasance Courtyard. I met him at a bar in London last year and he showed me some incredible tricks. I promise you, he is the most charming magician you will ever meet!

Name of the show: Tori Scott Is #Thirsty

Venue: Underbelly Bristo Square – Dairy

Dates: 1 – 27 August 2018 (not 8, 15, 22)
