FIFTY-WORD FRINGE PITCH: Tom Houghton

With time being precious during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe we challenged this year’s acts to deliver a 50-word elevator pitch for their show. This time it’s the turn of Tom Houghton.

Tom’s just been made ‘The Honourable’. Not by his own merit (he’s been sacked from Weatherspoons twice) but the traditional aristocratic way, by default. Basically, his dad, ex-Chief of Defence Staff and current Constable of the Tower of London, was inducted into the House of Lords, making Tom “honourable”, apparently.

What other show shouldn’t we miss?

Heidi Regan vs Sharks. She supported me on tour this year and is so so funny. On stage and off. Her show is about her unhealthy obsession with bad shark movies. Come on, what’s not to like? You and your “chums” will laugh so much your “Jaws” will hurt! Ey… ey… see what I did there?

Name of your show: The Honourable Tom Houghton

Venue: Jack Done

Dates:2 – 26 August 2018

Time:20:10
