FIFTY-WORD FRINGE PITCH: The Greatest Play in the History of the World…

With time being precious during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe we challenged this year’s acts to deliver a 50-word elevator pitch for their show. This time it’s the turn of The Greatest Play in the History of the World…

Starring Julie Hesmondhalgh (Coronation Street, Broadchurch), The Greatest Play… is squashed full of exquisite observation and heart-breaking beauty. A universal love story, set on Preston Road (and also in space and in time), that shows the human race in all its glorious messiness, confusion and joy.

What other show shouldn’t we miss?
