FIFTY-WORD FRINGE PITCH: Power Play Theatre

With time being precious during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe we challenged this year’s acts to deliver a 50-word elevator pitch for their show. This time it’s the turn of Power Play Theatre.

Staged in a real Edinburgh house, Power Play brings 4 brand new site-specific plays by female writers, including work originally commissioned by the Royal Court. Featuring themes such as domestic violence, the care system and motherhood, the four site-specific plays run alongside Power Play’s data activist project and wider campaign.

What other show shouldn’t we miss?

Funny, bold, and candid, Isley Lynn’s play about female sexual identity and vaginismus, To Skin a Cat, is definitely not one to miss!

Although this isn’t a show, also make sure you catch the Bechdel Theatre team, who will be handing out stickers and publicising great shows that foreground women’s narratives.
