With time being precious during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe we challenged this year’s acts to deliver a 50-word elevator pitch for their show. This time it’s the turn of Mengele.
Brazil 1979: a drowning man washes up on a beach. A mysterious woman cajoles and flatters the aging Nazi doctor into attempting to defend the indefensible. This award-winning production offers an expose of a sociopathic narcissist, warning what happens when the world succumbs to the politics of hatred and bigotry.
What other show shouldn’t we miss?
There’s so much to see – we hope to catch some thinking theatre that challenges, provokes and entertains… and a good sing along too!
