With time being precious during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe we challenged this year’s acts to deliver a 50-word elevator pitch for their show. This time it’s the turn of LUNG theatre on Trojan Horse.
Trojan Horse was a local story that hit the national press, accusing ‘hardline’ Muslim teachers and governors of plotting extremism in Birmingham schools. Adapted from the real-life testimonies of those at the heart of the UK Government’s inquiry, critically acclaimed theatre-company LUNG investigates what really happened.
What other show shouldn’t we miss?

As a former Headteacher this play left me with a deepening sense of injustice for the Muslim and academic community in Birmingham which has been treated with shabby contempt, vilified and abused by political zealots who have their own agenda. Slick, fast-flowing cleverly staged and seriously well acted this is political theatre at its best. Don’t be fooled by those who have tried to have this show shut down. The truth will out thanks to an impressively written and wonderfully acted play.
