With time being precious during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe we challenged this year’s acts to deliver a 50-word elevator pitch for their show. This time it’s the turn of Greg Byron on Wordshow.
If you think poetry is all ‘misty mountain tops and daffodils’ think again. Verses about Trump, plastic, memory, science, trophy wives, the Manchester bombing, USA gun laws – a cathartic, sometimes poignant, often funny hour with Greg Byron might change your mind. Who else would rhyme ‘wattle’ with ‘Aristotle’?
What other show shouldn’t we miss?
Your Bard by Nicholas Collett at Assembly – a show about Shakespeare and how he DID write all those plays.
Name of your show: Wordshow
Venue: Assembly (Baillie Room)
Dates: 2 – 26 August 2018
Time: 20:05
