BRIGHTON BITES: Wisecrackers Theatre – The Idiot’s Guide to the World

Back by popular demand for 2017, our Brighton Bites series offer short, witty and slightly tongue-in-cheek insights into shows performing at England’s largest arts festival. Hopefully, they will whet your appetite to try something new at this year’s Brighton Fringe.

Here, Wisecrackers Theatre tells us about their show, The Idiot’s Guide to the World, which they’ll be performing at The Warren.

How would you describe your show in one sentence?
A hilariously anarchic ensemble who fuse clown, mime, satire, storytelling with their own magic.

Why Brighton Fringe for this show?
Brighton Fringe is famous for its liberal views and nightlife. Our show has captured these features making it perfect night out of cabaret fun and satire.

What do you think sets your show apart from all the other festival offerings?
It’s chaotic, raucous, and charming at the same time. We showcase a variety of what humanity has to offer with a idiotic twist.

What’s the show that you don’t want to miss at this year’s Brighton Fringe (apart from your own)?
Anti-White PC Mangina Rises!

What’s the best bit of advice you’ve ever been given for performing at a Fringe Festival?
Keep the costs low! But have fun and watch as much theatre as you can.

If your show was a flavour of ice cream being sold on Brighton Pier, what would it be?
It would be a concoction of flavours with a cherry on a top.

The Idiot’s Guide to the World runs at Brighton Fringe 4 May, 25/26 May
