Our Brighton Bites series offers short, witty and slightly tongue-in-cheek insights into the offerings at England’s largest arts festival. The Ruby Darlingstell us about their show which they will be performing at Komedia, Brighton.
How would you describe your show in one sentence?
Our show gives an outrageouslyhonest, yet totally sexy look at life with a vagina.
Is this your first visit to Brighton Fringe, if so what interesting tales have you been told about what to expect?
Yes, we are Brighton Fringe virgins! We have been told that it’s not as big as Edinburgh fringe, but it’s more gentle and cuddles you afterwards.
How has the show developed on the way to Brighton?
Wehave been developing the show for four years, cramming it full with more and more songs. We used to have full on dance numbers but have scrapped those to make room for all of our LADY OPINIONS…
How have you been preparing for Brighton Fringe?
We have been exfoliating night and day.
What do you think sets your show apart from all the other festival offerings?
We are discussing/singing about subjects people often shy away from, making women feel liberated, men educated and everyone laugh into their pants…and we’re super fit.
What’s the show that you don’t want to miss at this year’s Brighton Fringe (apart from your own!)?
Love Abandoman and Adrience Truscott is our absolute idol, she is a friggin’ force of nature!
If your show was a flavour of Brighton Rock, what would it be?
Cherry-to represent oursignature lip colour and our Brighton fringe virginity.
