BRIGHTON BITES: Bogan Bingo

Our Brighton Bites series offers short, witty and slightly tongue-in-cheek insights into the offerings at England’s largest arts festival. Trevor Sinclair, co-host of Bogan Bingo, tells us about their show, whichthey’reperforming at Komedia Studio.

How would you describe your show in one sentence?

Full throttle, 80s, bingo game-show mayhem.

Is this your first visit to Brighton Fringe? If so what interesting tales have you been told about what to expect?

Apparently there’s a giant seagull named Steve that steals peoples wallets and scares the kiddies.

How has the show developed on the way to Brighton?

It’s gotten pretty loose. Might be the sea air and the raucous audiences.

How have you been preparing for Brighton Fringe?

We started doing cross fit while drunk. Not sure if it’s helping at all but it’s been fun.

What do you think sets your show apart from all the other festival offerings?

We’re doing an hour long comedy bingo show which you stand to actually win some life changing prizes plus we’re gonna stick around after the show for a couple hours playing all the hits of our ‘Shitty Disco’ DJ set. The one certainty of Bogan Bingo is it’s a unique night out.

What’s the show that you don’t want to miss at this year’s Brighton Fringe (apart from your own!)?

Tessa Waters, Matt Hudson &David McIver.

If your show was a flavour of Brighton Rock, what would it be?

BBQ and burnout smoke. With a hint of rosemary. Same as my cologne.

Bogan Bingois being performed 27-29 May2016
