Sh-K-Boom Records have today announced the release of the first two songs from the highly anticipated The Last Five Years (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) Anna Kendrick’s “I Can Do Better Than That”and Jeremy Jordan’s “Moving Too Fast” are now available for purchase at Amazon and iTunes (US Only) and can be downloaded as instant gratification tracks upon pre-ordering the complete album, out on 10th February.
The Soundtrack is the musical companion to the RADiUS-TWC film, which will be released February 13th, starring Academy Award nominee Anna Kendrick (Up in the Air, Pitch Perfect, Into The Woods) and Tony Award nominee Jeremy Jordan (Newsies). It is the film adaptation of three times Tony Award winner Jason Robert Brown’s acclaimed musical written for the screen and directed by Richard LaGravenese (The Fisher King, Behind The Candelabra). The 14 track collection is produced by Kurt Deutsch, Lawrence Manchester and Richard LaGravenese, executive produced by Steve Norman, Lauren Versel and Janet Brenner, with new orchestrations by Jason Robert Brown.
The soundtrack follows Sh-K-Boom Records’ best-selling The Last Five Years (Premiere Cast Recording), the Grammy and Drama Desk Award-winning label’s first-ever cast album released in 2002. The deluxe CD soundtrack poster bundle features a Digipak, containing an exclusive film poster and picture disc as well as a stunning full-colour 36 page booklet with complete lyrics, images from the film, and liner notes from both Brown (Parade, The Bridges of Madison County) and LaGravenese.
