NEWS: Morgan and Teale lead The Broken Heart company

Casting has been announce for Shakespeare’s Globe production of The Broken Heart, playing at the venue’s Sam Wanamaker Playhouse from 12th March.

The production will feature well known TV faces Amy Morgan (Mr Selfridge) and Owen Teale (Game of Thrones) alongside Luke Thompson who received critical acclaim for his performance of Marc Anthony in The Globe’s production of Julius Caesar last year.

John Ford’s tragedy explores the devastating consequences of virtue’s attempts to resist desire in a world of stifling restraint and repression. The Broken Heart will be directed by Caroline Steinbeis, recipient of the 2009 JMK Award for Young Directors for her production of Caryl Churchill’s Mad Forest at the Battersea Arts Centre.
