FIVE FAST FRINGE QUESTIONS with…Yeti’s Demon Dive Bar

With over 3000 shows at the world’s biggest arts festival, here at The ReviewsHub,we want to make the job of choosing your Edinburgh Festival Fringe shows that little bit easier. So here’s Yeti’s Demon Dive Bar answering our annual Five Fast Fringe Questions.

In one sentence tell us about your show.

Yeti’s Demon Dive Bar is psychedelic, mop-based, musical-sketch-clown-character-comedy from the creators of EastEnd Cabaret.

What made you decide to bring a show this year?

We just came back from a 4-month tour of Australia where the show absolutely smashed it. Despite being brand new and unlike any other show on the scene, the show was selling outand received some lovely five-star reviews. So then we realised we just HAVE to take this show to Edinburgh.

Any advice you’ve heard or can give to anyone coming to the Fringe for the first time?

Bring rain-proof boots. And woolly jumpers. No matter what, every year, you think it will be summer there. But it won’t. Warmth is key, in fact – carry a hip flask of gin at all times. Better than a jumper.

What makes your show stand out from all of the others on offer? (Don’t say that it’s because you’re in it!)

Well, it’s funny and it’s filthy for starters. And it’s two people playing eight characters, all set in a crazy little dive bar, which is run by a yeti. An actual yeti. It’s like no other comedy show you’ve seen before.

What show, other than your own, do you not want to miss?

All the Dead Man (the independent comedy label we are part of) shows are amazing – Tessa Waters, Tom Walker, Zach &Viggo, Joey Page – it’s some of the best alternative comedy at the Fringe.

Name of the show: Yeti’s Demon Dive Bar

Venue: Pleasance Courtyard, Pleasance Two

Dates:33 – 29 August(except 17)
