BRIGHTON BITES: Dandy Danno & Diva G: A Clown Fairytale

Back by popular demand for 2017, our Brighton Bites series offer short, witty and slightly tongue-in-cheek insights into shows performing at England’s largest arts festival. Hopefully, they will whet your appetite to try something new at this year’s Brighton Fringe.

Here, Dandy Danno & Diva G tells us about their show, A Clown Fairytale, which they’ll be performing at Sweet Venues St Andrews Church.

How would you describe your show in one sentence?
How hilarious can be a love story? Not taking too seriously becomes the key.

Why Brighton Fringe for this show?
Because of our purpose to contaminate positively people, and make them relive the excitement of childhood all over the world

How have you been preparing for Brighton Fringe?
With the awareness that it will be a wonderful experience

What do you think sets your show apart from all the other festival offerings?
It is a Visual-comedy show. Words are not so necessary, but it is the intent that counts as a universal language. Everyone needs to laugh.

What’s the show that you don’t want to miss at this year’s Brighton Fringe (apart from your own)?
We would like to not miss any show of Brighton Fringe, to increase our knowledge… but it would be impossible!

What’s the best bit of advice you’ve ever been given for performing at a Fringe Festival?
Be yourself!

If your show was a flavour of ice cream being sold on Brighton Pier, what would it be?
Lemon, the fruit is sour, but sweet as ice cream

A Clown Fairytale runs at Brighton Fringe 22 – 28 May
